Crystal Clear Educare Membership Program

The Crystal Clear Educare Membership Program is an annual program designed to help independent high school students connect passion to purpose. Students work with a collaborative team of cultivation counselors, development instructors, and care mentors who are certified teachers and/or experts in their respective fields.

Putney’s Pre-College programs are designed to give high school students a study-abroad experience. Students will be able to pursue a passion or discover new interests in an exciting atmosphere that encourages active involvement, creativity, a sense of community, exploration, adventure, and fun.

The NASA Pathways Intern Employment Program Internship

NASA internships and fellowships leverage NASA’s unique missions and programs to enhance and increase the capability, diversity and size of the nation’s future science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workforce. Internships are available from high school to graduate level. Internships provide students with the opportunity to participate in either research or other experiential learning, under the guidance of a mentor at NASA.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Full-time students (high school through graduate)
  • 16 years of age at the time of application (no exceptions)

Deadlines:

Spring 2021: November 6

Summer 2021: March 5

Fall 2021: July 9

The Intern Group

Their internships for high school students offer professional placements in a wide variety of organizations, including startups, boutique firms, and international nonprofits. Interns take on roles ranging from marketing and communications to fundraising and research.

Eligibility:

  • Remote placements are open to 16+ year olds, while in-person placements are open to 17+

Deadlines:

They accept applicants on a rolling basis, however, they encourage applicants to apply as early as possible, and no later than 3 months before your desired start date. They offer internships year-round, with regular monthly start dates.

Their internship programs cost, however, they offer full-ride scholarships to cover all expenses. Important dates for scholarship applications are as follows: Applications to participate will officially open on Monday, March 1st, 2021 and will close on Sunday, April 4th, 2021. The winners will be announced on Monday April 26th, 2021.

Passport to Success Traveler

Passport to Success Traveler is designed to take students on a virtual journey around the globe learning in-demand life skills while trying out jobs in growth industries. In partnership with The PepsiCo Foundation, the International Youth Foundation has developed this free, mobile-optimized course to support young people ages 16 to 24 in developing work readiness skills such as time management, problem-solving, and self-confidence. PTS Traveler will help 1 million young women learn life skills essential to the workplace.

The PTS Traveler digital training course is currently available in four languages: American English, British English, Hinglish, Spanish.

Eligibility:

  • Youth between the ages of 16 and 24

Nurse Corps Scholarship Program

Eligible nursing students can apply to the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program (Nurse Corps SP).

If accepted, we pay your tuition, fees, and other educational costs. In return, you work at a Critical Shortage Facility (CSF) when you graduate.

Eligibility:

    • Are a U.S. citizen (born or naturalized), a national, or a lawful permanent resident
    • Are an accepted or enrolled student in a nursing degree program at a United States accredited school of nursing
    • Begin classes no later than September 30
    • Don’t have any federal judgment liens
    • Don’t have an existing service commitment
    • Aren’t overdue on a federal debt

    Deadline:

    Applications closed on May 6th, 2021

    Bryan A. Champion Memorial Scholarship

    Applicants must attend an Ohio school, while demonstrating a 2.25 overall GPA (applicants must have a 2.7 GPA in their major). Applicants who are students in vocational agriculture programs will be considered. 

    Eligibility: 

    • College Sophomore, College Junior, Doctoral Level Study, Master’s Level Study, College Freshman, Other Postgraduate Level Study, College Senior, High School Senior 
      • Minimum GPA: 2.25

    Private Prep’s “Learn to Thrive” ACT Scholarship

    Applicants must have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above in a rigorous course load within their school context (AP, Honors, IB) and completion of Algebra 2/Trigonometry prior to 11th grade, diagnostic SAT of 1100+ or ACT of 22+, free and reduced lunch or 90%+ scholarship at an independent school, demonstrated extracurricular interests/leadership or significant family responsibilities, a strong desire to attend a four-year college or university. Preference will be given to 1st generation college-bound students. Please see website for further details.

    Zogotech STEM Scholarship- Wilbur Wright

    This scholarship is for students who are residents of the City of Chicago with a minimum 3.0 GPA progressing through STEM courses. 

    Eligibility: 

    • Resides in Chicago
    • Non-U.S. Citizens Eligible
    • High School Senior, College Freshman, College Sophomore
    • Minimum GPA: 3.0

    Ayn Rand “Atlas Shrugged” Essay Contest

    This essay contest is for high school seniors, college undergraduates, and graduate students worldwide. To participate in this contest, applicants must read the book, “Atlas Shrugged,” by Ayn Rand and write an essay between 800 and 1,600 words in response to one of the prompts listed on the contest website. See website for complete details. This contest has no citizenship requirements. Essays must be written in English only.

    • Non-U.S. Citizens Eligible 
    • College Junior, College Sophomore, Doctoral Level Study, College Freshman, College Senior, High School Senior, Master’s Level Study

    Chester Entrepreneur Scholarship

    Chester will award one scholarship to each winner determined by our judges. This scholarship is designed to help young entrepreneurs afford the rising cost of education and help them along the road to entrepreneurship. 

    Eligibility: 

    • College Freshman, Master’s Level Study, College Sophomore, Other Postgraduate Level Study, College Senior, College Junior, Doctoral Level Study, High School Senior 
    • Attend an accredited university
